Worta McCaskill-Stevens, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Worta McCaskill-Stevens is a medical oncologist and Chief of the Community Oncology and Prevention Trials Research Group, which houses the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). NCORP supports community hospitals, physicians, and others to participate in treatment, prevention, screening, control clinical trials, and cancer care delivery studies.

In 1998, Dr. McCaskill-Stevens led the Study of Tamoxifen and Raloxifene, chaired the 2009 NIH State-of-the Science Conference DCIS and is a member of the Early Breast Cancer Clinical Trialist Group. In 2016, Dr. McCaskill-Stevens was the recipient of the American Association for Cancer Research Jane Cooke Wright Memorial Lectureship.
